"Indeed for Allaah are a people from amongst the people." It was said: "Who are the people of Allaah from amongst them?" He (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "The people of the Qur'aan are the people of Allaah and His elite."

On the authority of Umar (May Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:
"Indeed Allaah elevates a people by this Book and lowers others."
