Preparing Yourself In Light Of The Onslaught Against Islam And The Muslims

An Exclusive Translation for Sisters Upon Al-Istiqaamah

You will surely be tested in your possessions and in yourselves. And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allaah much abuse. But if you are patient and fear Allaah – indeed, that is of the matters [worthy] of determination. (Ali-Imraan: 186)

Imam As-Sa’dee (May Allah have mercy upon him) said explaining this verse:

And you will surely hear from those who were given the Scripture before you and from those who associate others with Allaah much abuse.

(They will) criticize you, your religion, your book and your Messenger.

Allaah informing His believing servants about this contains many benefits:

From them is that His wisdom necessitates this so that the truthful believer can be distinguished from the others.

From them is that He, the Most High decrees these things for them because He wants good for them so that their levels can be elevated, to extinguish their sins, so that their faith can increase through this and so that with this their certainty can be complete.

Verily, if he was to inform them of this and what he informed them of came to pass:

They would say, "This is what Allaah and His Messenger had promised us, and Allaah and His Messenger spoke the truth." And it increased them only in faith and acceptance. (Al-Ahzaab: 22)

And from (the benefits) is that he informed them of this so that they could prepare themselves for its occurrence, so that they could be patient when it happens because if they are prepared for it then it will be easier for them to cope with and so that the burden of this would be light.

And so that they would resort to patience and Taqwa (the fear of Allaah).
